Hacienda Beer Co. is an experimental brewing project from Door County Brewing Co.'s Danny and Ben McMahon and Allyce Mohs founded in 2017. We aspire to create beer tied to a time and place, inspired by our local heritage, but with a focus on experimentation. From our 15-barrel brewhouse in Bailey's Harbor, WI on the Door County peninsula, we create unique hoppy ales, stouts, and Belgian/farmhouse-inspired ales, in addition to constantly experimenting in barrel-aging and mixed fermentation.
Danny and Ben McMahon opened Door County Brewing Co. with their parents, John and Angie, in 2012. The brothers continue to serve as Door County Brewing's Head Brewer and Sales Manager, respectively. Allyce Mohs joined Door County Brewing Co. in 2015 and continues to serve as the brand's Operations Manager. Hacienda's three founders are joined by Kyle Gregorash (Hacienda’s Head Brewer), Rick Gerondale (Hacienda’s Regional Sales Manager), and Matt Sampson (Hacienda’s Brand and Lab Manager).
Our primary focus will be releasing beer through our taproom, the Door County Brewing Co. Taproom & Music Hall. We plan to have periodic can and large-format bottle releases, in addition to draft beer available on site in our taproom and via distribution in limited quantities. Our taproom will provide us with a direct feedback loop for our most experimental batches and give us the opportunity to tell our story through beer. We hope you come visit us in Baileys Harbor soon, and look for our beer in select markets across WI.
Through Hacienda, we are eager to push boundaries and challenge ourselves to bring you the most delicious and creative beer possible—beer that will help support our local community and make Door County known as a craft beer destination.
